Lord High Williamsburg Declares Reclamation

My fellow citizens of the world, it is with a heavy heart that I make this speech today. According to Alliance policy, I should be on the JORL right now, but I have decided against this. I must speak with you, and it would weigh on my conscience if I were to do it from the safety of space. The Motherland has been attacked, and by the most unlikely of threats: Baxter and Orwell Industries.

The regional capital of South Norway, that being the city of Oslo, has been striked by a series of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles from the Industries after their recent military coup. The dead have been estimated to be in the tens of thousands. How they could do this is beyond me. However, we have had time enough to grieve, and now we must take action. For too long the Industries have subjugated their people for the benefit of the plutocracy, and it is time we act.

These Democratic Nations of United Jacaria, in the face of injustice and outright attack, find no other feasible action than a declaration of reclamation. Jacarian blood has been spilt on Jacarian soil, which is a line that must never be crossed. You will hear again from us soon.

United Jacaria, despite any grievances we may have with them and their administration, will have the full support of Nordstjerne in its reclamation of Baxter and Orwell Industries’ territory. While we are not capable of a full capacity war, we will provide as many resources as possible to our Motherland and its people. The actions of the Industries is unacceptable, and we plan to remove the military from power and return the state to democracy.

Our division of the Jacarian Federal Guard have been assembled near Jacaria’s LMT, and are awaiting orders to liberate William Baxter and John Orwell from their captors and quell the military coup.

Hopefully, people will look back at our history and see the steps that were taken to secure liberty for all divisions of the Democratic Nations.

Below is a statement from Leader of the People’s House Mx. Alan Finlie-Johnson following the approval of war.

Just months ago, we were completely against the idea of war with Baxter and Orwell Industries. Just today, the Houses of Legislature approved a declaration of war. Oslo has truly changed our world views.

William Baxter, while not popular in his later term, was a democratically elected leader. While very few people within our administration found him to be an effective leader, we gave him the respect expected of state officials. But both him and John Orwell have been captured by their own military, and, as far as we can tell, tortured for information. It is the time to act.

The military coup was unexpected but swift. The nation had already been devolving into a police state, which allowed for Gen. Thomas Rohnson to assume power of the justice system, and eventually the Industries themselves. He has been declared the Investigation and Intelligence Committee’s most wanted man with a perceived rating of ALPHA-2 (extremely dangerous, force to be used in the protection of human life).

We now plan a full-scale invasion of the Industries within the following days, led by the Federal Guard’s 26th Regiment (“Heavy Lifters”). Any and all aid by DNUJ allies is appreciated, though not necessary.

The Jacarian Armed Forces have successfully captured the capitol city of Baxter and Orwell Industries, Høj Valuta. The remaining military junta has been divided into several factions that are now fighting for supreme control over life itself. Despite the victory, Jacarian citizens are advised to stay at home for the next few days as their military attempts to bombard our own regional capitols with missiles.

Full reclamation and integration are expected to ensue in the coming days. Please tune in on your personal radios for danger assessments in your area.

The United Commonwealth has reviewed the Kingdom of Javnia’s communiqué to Prime Minister Johansson with considerable attention.

We do not question Javnia’s sincerity in wishing to alleviate suffering. The humanitarian impulse behind your government’s offer is noted and, in principle, commendable. However, the Commonwealth must be direct: the offer of joint military operations, defensive equipment deployment, and intelligence cooperation to a party in an active conflict - without prior coordination with the Commonwealth - is not a matter the Department of State can receive in silence.

Javnia is a member of this Commonwealth. That membership carries meaning in both directions. The Commonwealth extends to Javnia its protection, its institutions, and its standing in the international community. In turn, the Commonwealth expects that member-states exercise military and diplomatic initiative in a manner consistent with Commonwealth foreign policy - particularly in theaters where the Commonwealth has already issued formal position.

The Norwegian Alliance conflict is not Javnia’s war to enter unilaterally. The Democratic Nations of United Jacaria have not requested Javnian military assistance, nor has the Commonwealth sanctioned it. We would caution strongly against any deployment of Javnian military assets into this theater without explicit multilateral coordination.

The Commonwealth remains fully prepared to facilitate humanitarian assistance channels through established frameworks - and Javnia’s considerable capacity for relief and logistics would be genuinely valuable within that structure. We invite the Kingdom to direct its considerable goodwill through those coordinated mechanisms.

We trust Javnia understands that this communication is issued not in opposition, but in the interest of coherent, principled Commonwealth action.

The Corporate Alliance and the People’s Republic of Guangzhou formally express support for the Kingdom of Javnia and its recent humanitarian position regarding the ongoing crisis surrounding Nordstjerne and the collapse of Baxter and Orwell Industries.

We find it deeply concerning that offers of humanitarian relief, logistical coordination, engineering support, and defensive assistance are now being interpreted by some within the international community as acts requiring political reprimand rather than cooperation.

The Constitution of the United Commonwealth is clear: powers not expressly granted to the Commonwealth remain reserved to the sovereign member nations themselves. Javnia’s actions appear entirely consistent with both the constitutional framework and the moral responsibility shared by civilized nations during times of humanitarian catastrophe.

Under such circumstances, the willingness of nations like Javnia to offer relief and coordination should be viewed as a stabilizing force, not a threat to institutional cohesion.

In support of regional stability and humanitarian preservation, the People’s Republic of Guangzhou additionally states that it is prepared to provide humanitarian aid, logistical coordination, engineering support units, emergency infrastructure restoration teams, medical shipments, refugee assistance, and defensive support assets should legitimate authorities formally request such assistance.
