The Inter-Regional Alliance Accords

For the consideration of the United Commonwealth’s citizenry. Accords are subject to change as more ideas are suggested.

In the absence of any real court system on the great platform that is NationStates, the Jacarian Realm (consisting of United Jacaria Proper, Nordstjerne, Baxter and Orwell Industries, and The Williamsburg Council) does hereby propose the construction of a new Inter-Regional Alliance for the purpose of promoting free trade, inter-universal cooperation, and most importantly, the enforcement of future legislation as passed by the Alliance.

All members of the Alliance are not to engage in any conflict with each other without the support of all parties involved.

All members of the Alliance are to have a specialized economic zone in which citizens of member regions may pass through the borders of other regions unimpeded, and free trade between members is allowed without restrictions.

Once enough signatories have ratified these Accords, a region by the name of The Inter-Regional Alliance will serve as the primary communication and governing body of the Alliance. It is recommended that all regions have an in-house ambassador in the Alliance region. If this is not the case, then either the governor or relations officer shall automatically fill this position.

The Alliance will have three main governing bodies. The first, the Senate, will consist of representatives from each member region and shall propose, vote, and ratify inter-regional laws. The second, the Courts, will consist of judges elected by member regions and shall interpret the law. The Courts will also try nations or regions that have committed misconduct within NationStates. The final, the Williamsburg Council itself, shall consist of the multiverse’s many alternate versions of Marton R. Williamsburg, the Lord High Justice of United Jacaria. This Council will serve as the collective governor of the region and will also serve as an advisory board to the Senate. Besides managing the day-to-day affairs of the region, they will have no power. Voting shall take place within the Alliance region through the usage of the Poll system. Communications will also take place on this region. Should the member states have interest, another program such as Discord may be used. Ambassadors are expected to be somewhat active. However, leave of absences are allowed. If an ambassador is taking leave for a period of time, it is asked that they announce this action and delegate their roles to another, if possible.

All regions that wish to be a signatory of the Accords are to telegram United Jacaria with their region’s name, their position within the region, their ambassador, and their reason for joining.
