The Government of the People’s Republic of New Valdoria issues this unified statement in response to recent public remarks, media broadcasts including “Thessara Today”, and external allegations concerning sovereignty, border security, institutional legitimacy, and regional conduct.
We affirm at the outset:
Peace Be With You. We do not seek escalation. We do not reject accountability. We do not oppose dialogue. We agree with sanctions where lawful and proportionate under international frameworks.
At the same time, we categorically reject mischaracterizations of New Valdoria’s constitutional transition, security posture, and governance integrity.

I. ON SOVEREIGNTY, SECURITY, AND BORDER DEFENSE
Under Article I of the United Commonwealth Constitution, member nations retain sovereign authority over internal security and defense operations not expressly delegated to federal institutions.
Accordingly, New Valdoria confirms:
Our border security units operate under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordination framework with inter-agency oversight.
Each border sector maintains standardized deployment teams for inspection, customs integrity, and sovereignty protection.
Claims suggesting “unknown actors” or “unaccounted border control forces” are factually incorrect and constitutionally unfounded.
For clarity, border governance is structured, documented, and accountable.
To illustrate transparency: personnel assignments include designated officers such as Chief Border Coordination Officer Adrian Velas, who operates under formal Foreign Affairs jurisdiction. There is no ambiguity in command structure.
We reject any narrative implying institutional collapse or covert militarization beyond constitutional mandate.

II. ON MILITARY PRESENCE AND AIRSPACE DEFENSE
Recent commentary has described New Valdoria’s defensive posture as “provocative” or “unpredictable.”
We state clearly:
Defensive airspace monitoring is a sovereign right under constitutional law.

We note commentary alleging media bias in Thessara Today and affiliated broadcasts.
We respect press freedom under Article II of the United Commonwealth Constitution. However:
Editorial framing that substitutes interpretation for verified fact contributes to diplomatic tension.
Satirical or dramatized presentation of international security matters risks public misunderstanding.
We do not question the right of journalists to critique. We do question narratives that omit institutional context or selectively amplify unverified claims.

V. ON INTERNATIONAL LAW INITIATIVE IN THE UNITED COMMONWEALTH SENATE

“Regional Sovereignty and Diplomatic Conduct Protection Act”
