The Dechikelian Flag

Dechikely

Explanations of the Dechikelian flag’s colors, orientation, and symbols

Color:

Red is the embodiment of power and domination. It represents the Core of the Corporatocracy. Being on top as a symbol of its authority. It is also often the first and last color seen in the sky that bookends the darkness of night
Gray represents strength and neutrality. It acts as the anchor to the philosophies of Dechikely offering stability, safety, and hope.
White depicts peace and purity. It also stands for the harmony of the people that came together to eventually form a nation.
Sky blue is the color of the gemstone samanite that was founded by Ket Enelee. Discovered in mining operations, it is the bottom of the flag to be the foundation of the country. The gemstone was the first “standardized” form of currency.

Horizontal bar orientation:

Bars being wider than tall represents expansion. Theoretically, if the flag extended horizontally forever, then the horizontal bars representing expansion would do the same. This is a core belief of the Corporatocracy. Forever expanding. Conversely, if the flag were to be extended vertically forever, then only the sky blue (representing the color of the gemstone first used as a standard currency) and red (representing the powers of the Corporatocracy) would be growing forever.
This configuration of bars also places the color representation in order. One top is the red bar (the powers that be) and on the bottom is the sky blue bar (the foundation of the nation). The gray bar (representing balance, neutrality, and wisdom) is centered for the sake of being an anchor to the philosophy it represents. The white bar (purity and harmony) is on the same plane as the gray bar for the same reason.

The off-center circle

The circle represents community. It being white (purity and harmony) symbolizes the type of community Dechikely wishes to cultivate.
A circle can also mean infinity; another value of Dechikely
The off-center placement of the circle, specifically to the left-hand of the flag, represents logical, analytical, and factual thinking (Left brain thinking; opposite of right brain being emotional, artistic, and imaginative)
The circle is large enough to cut into each other part of the flag. This is to mean that the circle and its representation is a part of each other’s value depicted on the flag.
