
The United Commonwealth is currently seeking a skilled and reliable citizen to fill the role of Discord Engineer. This position is essential for maintaining the technical infrastructure of our main community server.
Position Description
As Discord Engineer, you will be the lead technical official responsible for the stability and functionality of the main server.
Your primary duties include:
Bot & Automation Management: Maintaining and configuring bots (moderation, verification, role-assignment, logging) and troubleshooting outages.
Server Architecture: Designing and refining channel structure, permission hierarchies, and role systems as the community grows.
Integration Development: Building or implementing webhooks, API connections, and custom tools to link the server with regional systems (e.g. NationStates API feeds, forum sync, activity trackers).
Technical Advisory: Working with the Delegate and Forum Director to assess new tools and implement technical policy as the region expands throughout 2026/2027.
Salary & Benefits
Monthly Salary: $6,000 – $7,000 (Based on project completion and server uptime).
Executive Rank: Formal title of Engineer with elevated permissions and bot-management access.
Access: Access to restricted dev channels, server backend settings, and leadership briefings.
