Verdict: The Nation of Markenberg is currently too overpowered (OP) for this setting.

Looking back at those stats, I think we need to reel them in a bit more to keep things grounded. Here’s how we can make it work:

Population Realism: Let’s scale the actual population to 40–45 million. This matches the real-world geography of Canada/Alaska and keeps the North from feeling like one giant, impossible city.
The Propaganda Angle: We should keep the 4.1 billion figure as an internal state lie. It makes the ‘Great Party’ look even more totalitarian if they are forcing people to believe in a fake census to look more intimidating than they are.
Dieselpunk vs. Modern: Instead of ‘unmatched,’ let’s frame your military as a Massive Industrial Juggernaut. You’ve got the biggest tanks and the most steel, which makes you impossible to invade, but the older tech keeps you from being a broken ‘I-win’ button against modern systems.
